Cable and Wireless to buy Barbados telecom company
Cable and Wireless Communications announced Thursday that it has agreed to acquire Columbus International, a telecommunications provider based in Barbados, in a deal valued at $3.02 billion. Cable and Wireless said the acquisition will enable the company to significantly accelerate its growth strategy, improve service delivery and offer a more comprehensive portfolio of products and services.
Cable and Wireless is a full-service communications provider operating in 16 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
