Amaize, an arepa eatery, to open Tuesday in Doral
Adding more Latin flavor to Doral, Amaize, a new fast-casual restaurant featuring arepas, will open Tuesday at 3887 NW 107th Ave, Unit 101, in Doral.
Amaize will feature arepas, cachapas, soups, salads, and other menu items. (Arepas are grilled cornmeal pockets; cachapas are pancakes made from fresh corn dough.) The dishes are traditional Venezuelan and Columbian fare that Amaize hopes will appeal to a wide audience.
Amaize, which says it is the first fast-casual arepa concept in the United States, said it will give a free refillable coffee mug with free coffee for one year to the first 100 guests to line up Tuesday morning before the restaurant opens at 7 a.m.
