HistoryMiami museum holding hackathon this weekend

HistoryMiami is seeking the technolgy community’s help designing an app to document and present Miami's notable history. The museum is opening its vault of historical photographs for a 24-hour hackathon, called “Night at the Museum: recoding History,” on Saturday and Sunday, and more than $10,000 in prizes will be awarded to the winning app.

HistoryMiami would like assistance in creating an app-based digital solution that creates concepts that further HistoryMiami’s “Museum Without Walls” goal, makes the physical museum experience more interactive, or organizes and meta-tags both old (physical) and new (digital) photographs.
