The annual March for Babies fundraising effort at Publix grocery stores, which benefits the March of Dimes, raised more than $6 million this year.
Over the three weeks that the campaign took place in the chain’s supermarkets, employees and customers raised a total of $6,050,470 —an increase of 18 percent from last year.
This year’s donation raises the 20-year total from Publix to $57 million, according to the March of Dimes. The nonprofit raises money for community programs and research that support healthy pregnancies and babies.
