With Labor Day later, AutoNation sales dip in August
Labor Day weekend is prime selling time for vehicles, and with the holiday later in September this year, AutoNation reported a dip in August sales of new cars and trucks.
The country's largest auto retailer said it sold 5 percent fewer new vehicles this August compared to last, when the month included two days of the Labor Day weekend.
