AT&T announced Monday that is expanding its U-verse with AT&T GigaPower service to Pompano Beach. The service, with Internet speeds up to 1 gigabit per second, can improve the experience for customers when connecting to the cloud, videoconferencing and playing online games.
GigaPower is already available in parts of Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Hialeah, Miami and surrounding communities, and AT&T is exploring expanding the service to Homestead and Opa-Locka, as can be seen on its interactive map at att.com/gigapowermap .
In addition to the Pompano Beach launch, AT&T also announced expanded availability of GigaPower service to two dozen cities across several other major metros, including Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago and Kansas City, and announced plans to bring the service to parts of the Jacksonville, St. Louis and San Antonio. It’s all part of its national rollout of the 1-gigabit service to its all-fiber networks reaching more than 14 million residential and commercial locations.
