Krispy Kreme to drop Girl Scout Cookie-inspired doughnuts. See lineup
Krispy Kreme's newest flavor inspiration comes from Girl Scout Cookies.
The doughnut and coffeehouse chain has a trio of new doughnuts inspired by Girl Scout Cookies, available for a limited time beginning Tuesday, July 7, at participating shops nationwide.
The doughnuts, available individually and by the dozen, are "perfect for sharing with friends, bringing to the office, or simply treating yourself," according to the company's news release.
"Girl Scout Cookie flavors are iconic for a reason," said Alison Holder, chief brand and product officer at Krispy Kreme, in a statement. "Reimagining them as doughnuts is a fun way to bring those familiar favorites to fans in a completely new and truly irresistible way."
The doughnuts' arrival may satisfy cookie lovers' hankering for the annual sweets, as it's the offseason for Girl Scout Cookies, which are typically sold from January to April - though local drop times vary by troop.
New limited-edition Girl Scout Cookie doughnut lineup
The new limited-time Girl Scout Cookie Inspired Dozen includes these three recruits:
- Thin Mints Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing, topped with Thin Mints cookie crumbles and dark chocolate chips, and drizzled with mint green icing.
- Lemon-Ups Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut filled with Lemon Crisp Kreme filling, dipped in lemon-flavored icing, and finished with a bright, lemon-inspired design.
- Coconut Caramel Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing and topped with coconut and caramel (inspired by Samoas and Caramel deLite cookies).
In addition to finding the Girl Scout Cookie-inspired doughnuts in-store, you may be able to score a six-pack with three Thin Mints doughnuts and three Original Glazed doughnuts at select retailers. To find a retailer or Krispy Kreme shop near you, use Krispy Kreme's online locator.
