The X5 is big enough for most folks, but for those who need more stretch-out space, there's the X7. Introduced in late 2018 for the 2019 model year, it was BMW's response to the Mercedes-Benz GLS that effectively had the German large luxury crossover market all for itself

It's still in its first generation, although it received a facelift in 2022 for the 2023 model year. By then, it had adapted the same look as the then-new seventh-gen 7 Series. 2027 is the current model's final production year, although it does benefit from a few updates before it heads off into retirement as the redesigned model rolls in.

2027 BMW X7 Lease Deals for June

June lease deals for the X7 include both 2026 and 2027 models, but we'll focus on the newer models first. It starts at $1,049 for 39 months with $8,769 due at signing for the xDrive40i. For the punchier M60i, it goes for $1,349 for 39 months, with $10,909 due at signing.

Offers for the 2026 models are less expensive, and the rates are carried over from last month. This year's xDrive40i is $989 for 39 months with $8,289 due at signing, while the M60i is $1,289 for 39 months with $10,139 due at signing. Loyalty credit for well-qualified lessees worth $2,000 is available. Mileage is limited to 32,500 throughout the leasing period, and it's $0.30 for every mile exceeded. These offers are valid until June 30, 2026.

2027 BMW X7 Highlights

The 2027 BMW X7 is still priced the same as the 2026 model, so that's good news for anyone considering this SUV. That means it's $87,500 for the xDrive40i and $115,000 for the M60i. The Alpina XB7 has been discontinued as Alpina enters a new chapter.

That brings us neatly to the updates for the 2027 model year. You won't see any new exterior or interior updates, although more standard equipment has been added. It now includes Active Driving Assistant, previously an option on 2026 models, as well as rear-wheel steering.

Powering the xDrive40i model is the 3.0-liter inline-six turbo featuring mild-hybrid assist, with 375 hp and 398 lb-ft. V8 power is available in the M60i, and the 4.4-liter turbo mill produces 523 hp and 553 lb-ft.

Final Thoughts

It may be on its way out, but the current X7 is still a solid large luxury crossover. Sure, it's not as big as a Cadillac Escalade, but it more than makes up for it by offering a great driving experience for its size while retaining the comfort one expects from a vehicle like this. Of course, it's hugely practical, and the standard third row should be a plus for those who will use this as a family bus.
