Publix open on Memorial Day? Costco? Mall hours? Check changes in South Florida

If you need to catch up on errands on Monday, take note that Memorial Day business hours may be changing in South Florida for the holiday.

While malls will be open as usual, you might not want to head over to a closed Costco.

Here’s what businesses and services will be open, closed and scheduled differently on May 25 in South Florida:

Supermarkets and big box stores

Hours may vary by location.

▪ Sedano’s: Open regular hours, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

▪ Trader Joe’s: Open regular hours, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

▪ Whole Foods Market: Open regular hours.

▪ Aldi: Closing early at 6 p.m.

▪ Winn-Dixie: Open regular hours.

▪ Fresco y Más: Open regular hours, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. or midnight.

▪ The Fresh Market: Open regular hours, from 7 or 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Transit, banks, garbage

▪ Mass transit Miami-Dade: Metrorail, Metromover and Metrobus run on a Sunday schedule.

▪ Mass transit Broward: Buses run on a Sunday schedule.

▪ Tri-Rail: Trains run on a weekend schedule.

▪ Garbage and recycling: Miami-Dade and Broward County collections on normal schedule. Check services that are managed by individual cities.

▪ Banks: Closed.

▪ Mail delivery: USPS, UPS, and FedEx services closed. Amazon deliveries could be delayed.

▪ U.S. stock markets: Closed.

▪ Schools: Closed.

▪ Libraries: Miami-Dade and Broward locations closed.
