UKG, formerly Ultimate Software, lays off 950, many from South Florida offices

As many as 950 employees of Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG), many of them from offices in Sunrise and Weston, were notified on Wednesday that their jobs would be eliminated in an apparent global restructuring.

Layoff notifications were emailed on April 15 by the human resources and workforce management giant that was known as Ultimate Software until it merged with Kronos in 2020.

One affected employee posted the layoff notification on the social-media platform Reddit. It reads: “950 employees will be exiting the company, with close to 600 employees leaving immediately, while roughly 350 will be asked to remain with UKG for a defined transition period to ensure continuity for our customers and partners as we evolve our operations and service model.”
