Gas prices are dropping in South Florida. Check your area
Gas prices started rising as the war involving the U.S. and Iran began more than a month ago. Now, for the first time since those Middle East tensions boiled, prices in Florida are dropping.
The average price per gallon in the state dropped to $4.09 on Friday, April 10. That’s 10 cents a gallon less than Monday’s start of the week. The drop comes after weeks of double-digit increases at the pump.
The national average still was rising on Friday by a few cents a gallon.

Gas prices in South Florida
Miami-Dade: The average price: $4.09 on Friday, April 10, a 6-cent decrease from Monday, according to AAA.
Fort Lauderdale: $4.14, a 10-cent decrease.
West Palm Beach/Boca Raton: $4.24, a 10-cent decrease.
Florida price at the pump
Average: The average price for a gallon of gas in Florida on Friday, April 10, according to AAA, is $4.09, a 10-cent decrease from Monday.
U.S. price at the pump
Average: The average price for a gallon of gas across the country on Friday, April 10, according to AAA, is $4.15, a 4-cent increase from Monday.
