What does Black Friday look like at Sawgrass Mills mall? See for yourself
Black Friday isn’t dead yet. At least not at Sawgrass Mills mall.
Thousands of shoppers lined up for the 6 a.m. opening, mostly at higher end shops including Tory Burch, Coach and Lululemon.
People also piled into big-box stores, and the line to pay at T.J. Maxx stretched to about 30 people with only 3 of 12 cashier stations open before 7 a.m.
Inside Hollister, dozens of cheery employees in red shirts greeted customers. “We’re here for you,” one told a clump of shoppers.

Starbucks also had a line, but not for any Black Friday deals. Early rising shoppers just wanted to caffeinate before heading into the mall maelstrom.
And hundreds of people dragged empty suitcases through the mall corridors, intending to fill them with purchases for their flights home.
By 10 a.m. the corridors were filled.
Pretzel vendors gave out free cups of cinnamon nuggets, a robot server handed out samples of green juice — and just-arriving shoppers were circling the lots looking for a parking space.
If big crowds aren’t for you, and you need to get some shopping done, don’t worry.
