We’re No. 1! In commuting between counties

El Nuevo Herald

When it comes to commuting between Florida counties, the busiest traffic is between Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

New figures released by the U.S. Census Bureau on Thursday show that more than 126,000 Broward County residents commuted to Miami-Dade County for work in 2013.

That was the highest trafficked commuting flow between counties in Florida.

Of those commuters, about 10 percent carpooled and 2.5 percent used public transportation.

The next busiest flow in Florida was in the Orlando area. Almost 80,000 Seminole County residents commuted to Orange County. Of those commuters, 7.5 percent carpooled and about 0.5 percent used public transportation.
