ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS

Description: Assists with the administrative, managerial and operational aspects of the Department of Resilience and Public Works. Assists in the maintenance operation and the preparation of the department’s budget and long-range planning.

Salary range: $108,229.31 to $224,997.91

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER - ROADWAY INFRASTRUCTURE

Description: This is professional and administrative work managing roadway infrastructure, drainage and other public right-of-way capital projects for the city. Responsible for authorizing and monitoring the work of professional services consultants and contractors engaged in the design and construction of a variety of roadway infrastructure, drainage and other public right-of-way capital construction projects.

Salary: $81,013.50

ELEVATOR INSPECTOR

Description: Advanced technical work in the inspection of elevators and similar equipment for compliance with the South Florida Building Code and other applicable codes, standards and regulations pertaining to mechanical systems, and fire safety. Work involves the inspecting of elevators, escalators and other mechanical or land lifts in order to determine their conformity with approved plans to legally established requirements.

Description: Advanced professional work responsible for managing the activities associated with the systems infrastructure of the city to ensure stable operations of the city’s business and public safety computer data centers and applications. This includes managing the IT staff responsible for the support and maintenance of hardware and software deployments for large data centers and cloud infrastructure services, inventory, monitoring and diagnosing operating systems, data storage, backups, restores, and business continuity services for disaster recovery.

Salary range: $113,341.07 to $235,628.02

PROFESSIONAL SURVEYOR AND MAPPER

Description: Work involves responsibility for performing land surveys for the City of Miami or acting as consultant/adviser monitoring the work of private surveying and mapping companies under contract with the city.
