No more Party City? See the South Florida locations that are going out of business

Party City, a New Jersey-based chain that sells costumes, balloons and decorations — has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company, founded in 1986, plans to sell off its inventory and shutter all 750 stores nationwide.

Reports put Feb. 28 as the final day its stores will remain open.

“Customers are encouraged to shop now for everything ranging from birthday party supplies to decorations for the holidays and New Year’s Eve while the selection is best,” Party City said in a statement.

Party City has more than 60 stores in Florida, 20 of them in South Florida.
