Chick-fil-A is now at the Miami airport. Here’s when and where you can get a sandwich

Chick-fil-A opened a new restaurant inside Miami International Airport.

On the plus side: This is one less Chick-fil-A at a strip mall spilling hungry Chick-fanatics in their cars out of the drive-thru and into the traffic lanes of city thoroughfares.

On the other hand: This outlet is sure to be hot stuff with travelers, both international and domestic, and could yield longer lines than the ones you face at a security checkpoint.

Where is the MIA Chick-fil-A located?

Chick-fil-A is located once you get beyond the security checkpoint, so you’ll be warmed up should there be a line. And you may even have worked up an appetite for a chicken sandwich or the chain’s famed nuggets. The airport’s new Chick-fil-A is in the Jackson Square location at Concourse E near gate E2, MIA spokesman Greg Chin said.

The location is a part of the third Jackson Soul Food, a family-owned Miami institution since 1946 in Overtown. A second location opened in Opa-locka in 2015. The MIA Jackson Soul Food, a franchisee of Chick-fil-A, was announced in 2022, and had its soft opening with a menu serving both the family menu and Chick-fil-A fare in January.

In May 2019, the Miami Beach commission passed then commissioner and 2023 Beach mayoral candidate Michael Góngora’s resolution urging Miami-Dade County to rescind Jackson Soul Food’s lease to open a Chick-fil-A restaurant at MIA, citing Chick-fil-A’s alleged anti-LGBTQ practices.
