Publix just introduced a new Pub Sub, and it goes with a South Florida sports team
Publix announced a new Florida Panthers-inspired Pub Sub as part of its partnership with South Florida’s NHL hockey team.
The sweet and savory sub, available for an unspecified limited time at the grocery chain’s deli department, sports hot honey chicken tenders, bacon, crispy fried dill pickles and your choice of cheese.
Pub subs and sports partnerships like the Cats arrangement go together like Taylor Swift and the NFL.

The Lakeland-based Publix previously teamed with the NFL at the start of the 2023-24 season last September with the introduction of four NFL-themed subs. The sandwiches were designed around the characteristics of the Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Atlanta Falcons.
Months later, Publix paired with the Florida Panthers to bring exclusive tailgating events with music, games and Panthers Subs at the Publix Plaza, outside the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise on Saturday game days.
In another sports and consumer tie-ins with a South Florida connection, last fall British rockers The Rolling Stones partnered with Major League Baseball to press copies of the group’s current studio album, “Hackney Diamonds,” on baseball-white vinyl with the logos of the 30 clubs, including the Miami Marlins.
