What’s new on your smart speaker? Help during the coronavirus crisis
“Alexa!”
“Hey, Google!”
More of you are turning to your smart speaker to get a question answered, listen to music, buy a few things — and get the news. And at the Miami Herald, we’re making sure you are filled in on the top stories of the day.
When you ask your smart speaker to play the Miami Herald briefing or listen to it at miamiherald.com/listen, you’ll get a quick summary of the top five stories of the day. Our smart speaker briefing is updated at 6 a.m. daily.
We’re focusing on the coronavirus, of course, but we’re going beyond bare case numbers. You’ll hear how the crisis is affecting every part of South Florida: tourism, business, restaurants, recreation, health. And we also toss in a fun thing or two. We all need that.
Most of what you’ll hear on the daily briefing is news you can use. We want you to have information to make good decisions: where the new testing center is, what the neighborhood takeout place is cooking up, what restrictions are being added and where.
And if you’re interested in learning more about any of the summaries you hear, you can always go to miamiherald.com to get the full story, and watch some video, too.
Thousands of you are turning to the Miami Herald briefing on your smart speaker during this uncommon time. Thanks for listening, and keep informed.
