Desperate for a last-minute gift? These malls and stores are open before Christmas

Christmas is less than 24 hours away, and we all know disaster strikes when you least expect.

Your cat might destroy your tree. You just remembered an in-law is coming into town and don’t have a gift. Maybe a porch pirate took one of your packages and you need a speedy replacement.

Here are an assortment of holiday gift locations that are open on Christmas Eve, but closed on Christmas Day. So hop in the car and race over before time runs out:

Malls

From the Florida Keys Outlet Marketplace to Aventura Mall, all South Florida malls will be closing at 6 p.m., and then remain closed until Thursday. As late Christmas shoppers are beginning to notice, cramped malls like International Mall and Dadeland will see an increase of traffic around them. So stay alert.

Department stores

If you can’t find it in a mall or want to avoid the traffic, department stores are the next safest bet. From pet stores to beauty to clothes, these standalones have varying closing times on Christmas Eve.

Kohl’s: Closes at 6 p.m.

Michael’s: Closes at 6 p.m.

Hobby Lobby: Closes at 5: 30 p.m.

Ross Dress For Less: Closes at 10 p.m.

TJ Maxx: Closes at 6 p.m.

Ulta: Closes at 6 p.m.

Petco: Closes at 7 p.m.

PetSmart: Closes at 6 p.m.

Best Buy: Closes at 6 p.m.
