Jimmy Cefalo buys into The Beach Channel

Jimmy Cefalo, the former Miami Dolphin and current radio personality, is a new owner of The Beach Channel.

Cefalo and business partner Brenda Bassett, president of Cefalo-Bassett, LLC, became partners in the

digital welcome guide on January 1, though the news was announced this month. They own a 25 percent stake in the channel, which is also owned by Max Wyler, Rockly Wyler and Randy Kassewitz.

Financial details were not released.

The station, which is broadcast to 450,000 households and 13,000 hotel rooms on Atlantic Broadband and AT&T U-verse, will get more original programming this month.

Programs will include new episodes of Real Estate Forecast; Best of the Beach: Burger Bash; Ultimate Miami and Chef Interruptions. Also new will be TV Moda, an Italian fashion show. Cefalo and Bassett will also introduce a video version of their radio talk show, EatThisDrinkThatGo!.
