Trader Joe’s coming to Davie
Continuing its South Florida expansion, Trader Joe’s announced Monday that it will open a location in Davie within the next year.
The California-based grocery chain said it had signed a lease for a new 9,300-square-foot store in the Tower Shops, a plaza on South University Drive and 23rd Street. An opening is scheduled in late 2015 or early 2016.
A cult favorite for its budget-friendly private-label products, Trader Joe’s opened its first South Florida store in Pinecrest in 2013. A Pembroke Pines location opened in October of 2014, and a Fort Lauderdale outpost is also in the works.
