‘One of a kind activity’: Thrill seekers, you can now zipline in the dark over Miami
Thrill seekers who love the nightlife, outdoors and adrenaline rushes, consider your Friday night plans set.
No need to swim with sharks or jump out of a plane, though.
Treetop Trekking Miami at Jungle Island on Watson Island, which opened in 2022, has a new after-hours adventure called Night Treks.
Brave souls, equipped with harnesses and helmets, will swing, hike and zipline through the trees 50 plus feet off the ground with only moonlight and a headlamp to illuminate the way.
Jean-François Couture, chief marketing officer of The Trekking Group, which designed and operates the course, touts the treks as not only fun and cool, but highly unusual. (Translation: Your Instagram followers will have instant FOMO.)
“Whether it’s for a romantic date night, a team building excursion, or a family bonding adventure,” he says, “this one of a kind activity promises unforgettable experiences for all.”

Where: Jungle Isalnd, 1111 Parrot Jungle Trl, Miami.
When: The experience opens to the public at 7 p.m. Friday, and will operate on Fridays only. Enter and exit through the gift shop.
