This fitness festival takes over downtown Miami with more than 2,000 athletes
Inspiration is here to keep those New Year’s resolutions to stay fit - or get fit – with TYR Wodapalooza and The Miami Fitness Festival, back and bigger than EVER for 2024.
This event is the largest outdoor fitness festival space in the world. The annual celebration of fitness, community and life brings together thousands of athletes, spectators, and fitness fanatics. TYR Wodapalooza, now in its 12th year, will have more than 2,000 athletes from around the world (and many locals) competing across 45 divisions for a chance at the title and a prize purse of more than $560,000.
“It’s just become a really massive four day event. I think it is something that the city of Miami should be really proud of because we are one of the healthiest and fittest cities on earth. So to lead with a festival at the beginning of the year, to really catapult us and remind us the significance and the importance of fitness of community and of life and really stewarding those gifts really well,” said co-founder Guido Trinidad.
As part of the event, The Miami Fitness Festival is open to all fitness enthusiasts and spectators and includes: The Gauntlet, a chance for athletes to conquer a one-hour workout battle; MIA Classic, South Florida’s premiere weightlifting event; Battle Cancer, the ultimate fundraising event to support Dolphins Challenge Cancer; Ground Game Theory Jiu-Jitsu, Pickleball courts, a Ninja Course, Seminar Stage, Food trucks, Vendors and more. Entrance to the event is free and some activities require advance registration and fees to participate.
Also new this year, the first LatAm Cup, a separate competition where 20 athletes from the best events in Latin America will compete for their shot at the crown.
TYR Wodapalooza general admission tickets start at $39.
