Formula 1 is coming back, Miami — and so is this exclusive dinner party on the sand
It’s back.
Carbone Beach was such a rousing success last year during Formula 1, we are getting an even bigger, better sequel. The over the top pop-up returns May 4-7 during Miami Race Week, when jet-setters descend for the second Miami Grand Prix at Hard Rock Stadum.
The Gatsby-esque bash, created by Major Food Group (Contessa, Sadelle’s, Dirty French and more) in partnership with American Express, will of course, feature carbalicious eats from chef Mario Carbone, who runs the ovens over at the SoFi hot spot that hails from NYC.
So, how fabulous is this thing?
“This year, we’re setting our sights even higher to deliver Major Food Group’s style of decadence and sophistication in monumental ways,” said MFG co founder Jeff Zalaznick in a release. “The biggest week in Miami history is back — and we cannot wait to celebrate with our guests at the greatest dinner party on the sand.”
We’re not sure of the live entertainment lineup this year, but we are thinking big. Last year, Andrea Bocelli, Wyclef Jean and Kygo were among the performers gracing the fancy outdoor venue, which included such high wattage guests as David Beckham, Serena Williams and LeBron James.
Similar to last year’s sold-out event, each evening will lead with a curated cocktail hour, followed by a seated dinner, which will 100 percent include the celebrated eatery’s signature (and celeb loved) spicy rigatoni.
Normal folks will need to sell a few stocks or pick at the kid’s college fund in order to go. The dinner each of the four nights (at a yet to be revealed location) costs a cool $3,000 per person. But for that amazing rigatoni? Sooo worth it.
