North Miami is ready to showcase the talents of the Caribbean and Latin America.

After being postponed last November due to bad weather, the first Caribe Arts Festival takes place this weekend at Griffing Park in North Miami.

The festival, which is free and sponsored by the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency, celebrates Caribbean and Latin American culture. The main stage will showcase such international artists as Boukman Eksperyans from Haiti, Gio Betta from Colombia and Willie Stewart from Jamaica.

Visitors can also check out the works from more than 40 visual artists and shop from local artisan vendors. There will also be food trucks and a kids’ zone where budding artists create their own crafts.
