Love hard seltzer? This event in Doral has all the canned drinks you crave
Raise your hand if you developed a hankering for hard seltzer during lockdowns.
Ready-to-drink cocktails are one of the fastest growing alcohol categories these days, according to adult beverage experts (yes, this job exists).
There are a lot of theories about why hard seltzers are so popular right now among millennial consumers.
Doug Miller, a professor at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration who is researching the boozy trend with Adam Carmer, an assistant professor at University of South Florida’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, has a few ideas.
“One is that there’s always been a segment of the population that is agnostic on beverage choices,” he told Food Processing magazine. “They select a beverage based on the situation, rather than what the beverage is, and seltzers are a lifestyle choice,” says Miller.
If that sounds like you, a superfan of canned cocktails, then you’ll want to calendar in this event; the nationally traveling festival aptly called Seltzerland is hitting Doral Saturday at Costa Del Sol Golf Club.
Brands both large and small will participate in the outdoor event, including White Claw, Mike’s Hard Lemonade Seltzer, Vizzy, Playamar (Jose Cuervo Seltzer) and PRESS.
Attendees are invited to leisurely walk the course while sampling over 100 flavors of the fizzy stuff (no golfing required). As for the solids, Hormel Black Label bacon will be providing bites.
Be sure to bust out the ‘gram for epic photo shoots, your can of choice in hand.
“We created Seltzerland to give hard seltzer fans the opportunity to sample new flavors in the most fun way possible,” said Cannonball Productions CEO and Founder Kate Levenstien. “With one-of-a-kind activations, brand new seltzer varieties and beautiful golf courses, Seltzerland is a can’t-miss experience.”
