Play video games during Dolphins games at the Hard Rock Stadium’s new retro arcade
Football fans: You may want to dust off your PAC-MAN skills from your carefree gaming days because Hard Rock Stadium is getting an old-school arcade.
During halftime or even during the Miami Dolphins games (when/if we start losing), you can relieve some stress at the Arcade1Up Game Lounge on the second floor club level.
Other iconic machines at the so-called experience center include Street Fighter, NBA Jam, Mortal Kombat, Star Wars Pinball and yes, Ms. PAC MAN herself, too. There are about 50 in total. No need to bring a batch of quarters: Games are all free.
TVs will be set up so you can keep an eye on the action on the field. Sounds like an, um, win-win.
“We believe in innovation and creating custom experiences for our fans, two areas that are core tenets of Arcade1Up’s strategy,” said Jeremy Walls, the Dolphins’ Senior VP/Chief Revenue Officer. “Arcade1Up’s move to Miami [from NYC] and this partnership will provide an amazing opportunity for a new generation of our fans throughout South Florida to engage in retro gaming and unique arcade content.”
The arcade will be open at all Dolphins as well as Miami Hurricanes match-ups, but not for concerts or other events at Hard Rock. Sorry, you’ll just have to play with your phone during intermission.
