Here’s where to watch the Super Bowl in Miami if you don’t want to do it at home

You could be that person who watches the Super Bowl at home alone or with your cat.

You could even invite a few friends over, but that means shopping and possibly cooking or at least mixing dip. And that, my friends, is exhausting.

Watching at a bar or restaurant, however, means someone else grills the chicken wings, and you can take it easy and enjoy all the big game has to offer. Here are a few of the best places in Miami to watch Super Bowl LIV and wonder how long it’s going to be before the Dolphins are in it again.

Watch the Big Game while enjoying a specially curated menu highlighting the best food from each participating team’s city. The biggest outdoor watch could be at BaseCamp Magic City Innovation District in Little Haiti. You can go low-key with free general admission and enjoy drink specials, games, raffles and multiple open air viewing areas. Or you can ball out with VIP tables and bottle service. The game will be broadcast on seven LED and projection screens.

The Wharf Miami

Watch the game on two 16-foot screens (and music during commercial breaks). Bottles of Veuve Clicquot are $75, plus you can buy food at food trucks like Cracked by Chef Adrianne, La Santa Taqueria, Spris Pizza, OG Ceviche Seafood & Grill and Mojo Donuts.

The Clevelander

Catch all the action at one of the most raucous bars in South Beach: The Clevelander. Cheer on the Chiefs or 49ers on the 20 foot LED screen or any of their 40 TVs on site. General admission starts at $40. Pool and patio are standing room only. Doors open at 4 p.m.

No. 3 Social

This Wynwood rooftop bar and lounge opens its doors at 2 p.m. for a pre-game brunch with music from Lady CBreeze. The big game will be projected on a large screen TV plus two projectors. For $54, you get a three-hour open bar beginning at 6 p.m., but food (including oysters, stone crab, burgers and fried chicken) and drink specials will last all night.

The Deck at Island Gardens

Super Bowl Sunday - or Big Game Sunday, as The Deck calls it - is a good time to check out this upscale spot on the water. Starting at 6 p.m., there’s a special, less pricey menu from Michelin-starred Chef Alfio Longo. Chicken lollipops ($12); guac and chips ($10); baby back ribs ($16); wagyu beef sliders ($14) and lobster rolls ($18). There’s even a Tailgate platter for $49 that includes a little of everything. You’ll be able to see the game on 4K TVs at the bars and in all 10 of the waterfront cabanas (20 TVs in all, so you don’t miss a play). We hear rumors of bottle specials, too. Be sure you make a reservation.

TIme Out Market Miami

Everybody’s favorite food hall has three Super Bowl packages. There’s a basic general admission deal of $20 for a bucket of five beers that runs all day. Opt for The 305 Package and from 3 p.m. to midnight you have access to the happy hour menus with beverage specials with purchase of a $40 Time Out Market card (redeemable at all eateries and bars). If you want to get close to the 187-foot screen, choose the SoBe VIP Group Package for $100, which offers group seating near the TV. With a minimum group of eight, you get four buckets of beer with four beers per bucket and access to the happy hour menu, plus a $30 Time Out Market card to use at any vendor. Reserved seating only with the group package.

Big Game Block Party in Design District

Paradise Plaza in Miami’s Design District hosts a block party with a big screen and theater seating from noon – 11 p.m. Guests will be able to enjoy bites by chef Brad Kilgore and drink specials like $35 buckets, $10 shots, $10 champagne, and a $12 Grey Goose featured cocktail. Throughout the day there will be giveaways.

Fresh stone crabs are available, too.
