Summer movie preview
Here’s some good news about this year’s summer movie season: The slate is surprisingly light on sequels, and a few of them ( Harry Potter, The Hangover, Kung Fu Panda) we actually want to see ( Pirates of the Caribbean and Spy Kids, not so much). Over the next few months, 3D will be an inescapable annoyance (all during Thor, I kept wishing I could have seen it in plain old 2D), but the studios aren’t about to stop milking that cash cow just yet.
