Anniversaries, music festivals, film festivals, meet-ups, in-depth chats, these are all things that await you these next few weeks, so check it out:

Saturday, Oct. 1


Lost Weekend 20th – One of Miami Beach’s hidden treasures turns 20 this weekend and you can’t miss this epic block party celebration. Live music by big names like Spam Allstars, Afrobeta, Patrick & The Swayzees, Otto Von Schrirach and more. Plus DJs and other festivities all night long.

The Raddest Craft FairSpend a breezy Saturday awakening your inner child with a complete lineup of innovative and hands-on workshops that will bring out the budding creator inside of you. We’ll be bringing every type of craft under the sun from watercolor, to calligraphy, macrame and more. Plus, enjoy live music by charming local songwriters, The Good Nites and Carley Jo Jackson, plus more activations.

Live in the GardenLive in The Garden features amazing local bands and artists every weekend. Come enjoy the show and indulge in delightful drink specials – $5 beers, $8 glasses of wine, and $8 frozen and well drinks – all night in our magical garden!

LadyFest MiamiHead to Made at the Citadel to enjoy a day of workshops, art, performances, music, exhibitors, and more! LadyFest Miami is a volunteer-organized, grassroots festival in South Florida that showcases local talent and engages us on local issues through workshops, music and art. This event hopes to provide an inclusive space for ALL wom@n, girls, and their allies to unite and celebrate womanhood in its many forms.

The Underline Cycling Club Free RidesExplore the future Underline’s connections to many future and existing corridors creating a safe haven for bicyclists and pedestrians.

Travel north to Vizcaya and stop at Alice Wainright Park to hear about Plan Z for Rickenbacker Causeway. Then bike through the Roads neighborhood and find out about future plans for Calle 8 and the Miami River Greenway.

Cocktails Inspired by Stranger ThingsIf you dare, head to The Broken Shaker on Monday for an adventure into the Upside-Down! Tracie Franklin from the House of Agricole and Shaker’s own Bobby Eldridge will be mixing up the ultimate Demogorgan-repellent R(h)um Agricole cocktails in the spirit of the sci-fi hit TV show “Stranger Things.” Special guest Benjamin Jones of the Clément family will be around to discuss the subject of R(h)um Agricole, and they’ll have ’80s music and Dungeons & Dragons on deck.

III Points Music, Arts & Technology FestivalIn the last four years they have hosted acts that range from James Murphy, Jamie XX, Nicolas Jaar, Lykke Li, Metronomy, The Martinez Brothers, Chet Faker and Mac Demarco. Along with music, artists local and international have contributed to the festival in addition with myriad activations including satellite parties, music industry and tech panels, art presentations, and film screenings. This year’s festival will blow it all out of the water with acts like LCD Soundsystem joining those ranks, collaborations with NASA, Virtual Reality, and more.

See it in 70mmCGAC officially becomes the only art cinema in South Florida equipped to screen films in 70mm, the high resolution format that became synonymous with the medium’s epics and films of exceptional visual grandeur. The four films screening Oct. 7-13 were actually made in 70mm. To have seen them projected in any other format is not to have seen them in their full splendor. Watch “2001: A Space Odyssey” to kick it off.

11 Most Endangered BuildingsJoin HistoryMiami Museum and Dade Heritage Trust on this tour guided by Dr. Paul George. We will visit Miami’s 11 Most Endangered Historic Buildings, as designated by DHT, from the Lemon City DuPuis Medical Office to the Miami Woman’s Club and beyond. Travel on a comfortable coach with Dr. George while learning the history and significance of these structures and join them following the tour for a reception hosted by DHT with light bites and beverages.

Movies Under the StarsKick off the GEMS Film Festival with a very special edition of your favorite outdoor movie theater. Modern Life Mindfulness FestivalThe Sacred Space Miami presents a one-day mindfulness festival in Miami in partnership with Modern ŌM: the Modern Life Mindfulness Festival. Learn how to use proven mindfulness techniques guaranteed to help positively impact your life at more than 20 workshops, guided teachings, and engaging activities.

The UnderLoungeExperience Miami’s transformative, new linear park with a fun, free festival for all ages! The day will feature the world’s longest mini-golf hole, huge interactive chalk art mandala, a pop-up dog park, pet costume contest, face painting, caricature artist, kid’s activities, fitness classes, live music and more.

Afrobeta’s 2nd-Annual Mooncake JamOne of Miami’s most beloved acts is back with another celebration of local music: Afrobeta is bringing back the Mooncake Jam for a second year in a row at the historic North Beach Bandshell! Come support the city’s resilient music scene with a full lineup of local acts. Enjoy grub from on-site pop-ups like The Plant MIA and Hot Satellite Pizza, plus handmade cocktails and local craft brews. Peruse the stalls of Miami’s artisans and come together for another day of creative merriment.
