Miami Swim Week Best Bathing Suits From Saturday

Saturday’s bikini-and-model-filled evening made it the official third day of Miami Swim Week. Designers continue to get innovative, while incorporating the current trends of the moment, which include off-the-shoulder styles, fringe, 1970’s trends and crocheted looks.

Here are 9 of our favorite looks from the July 16 Miami Swim Week 2016 shows.

We watched:

  • Anna Kosturova
  • Kai Lani
  • Tori Praver
  • Luli Fama

Show: Kai Lani

Style: Denim flare bikini

Why we love it: Because denim is groovy, baby! We all wear jeans and we all love the laid back vibe that they can give any outfit, but in this case the denim gives the swimwuit some edge, rock-and-roll style. The flare is key here, because it makes the look more stylish, or else it would be too dull and simple.

Show: Kai Lani

Style: Floral, v-cut bottoms and bikini top.

Why we love it: This is so Miami: tropical, colorful, playful and fun. The multicolored patterned fabric also gives it a fresh feel. Kai Lani is known for their signature v-cut bikini bottoms, and the sisters behind the brand grew up in Miami, so best believe they know what’s trending.

Show: Anna Kosturova

Style: Rainbow crochet bikini

Why we love it: It takes us back to somewhere over the rainbow where colors, crochet and laced edges perfectly meet for a great swimsuit to lay out and tan in.

Show: Anna Kosturova

Style: White crocheted top and boy-shorts.

Why we love it: Because it’s the perfect chic hangout number. This doesn’t exactly look like something you’d want to go in the water with. Wet crochet is heavy and uncomfortable, however it does make for a fresh, stylish outfit you can wear to a beach party.

Show: Tori Praver

Style: color-blocked high-waisted bottoms, with cup-style bra top.

Why we love it: Tori nailed it in the “How to flaunt more curves” department! The MAJOR upside of this bikini – which other similar ones don’t have – is the contrast of the black and beige. The hourglass shape of the black tone within the bottoms makes the body look curvier and the waist smaller, and well, who doesn’t want that? The bra style makes the “girls” hold up perfectly and the fact that the beige is on the outer area and not the inner, gives the illusion that they are bigger. Can we say win-win?

Show: Luli Fama

Style: White lace, fringe bikini top and side-tie bottoms

Why we love it: Fringe is so in because of the whole 1970’s trend that is happening at the moment. The detailings of the white lace on top of the light yellow toned bikini and the long fringe hanging down from the triangle top, makes what could have been a very casual and normal bikini a total must-have for someone into the 70’s trend.

Show: Luli Fama

Style: Sporty-chic

Why we love it: This super sporty style looks great because of the pattern. The beautiful pastels and blue, purple, pink and aqua hues make this bikini fun, pretty and dynamic. Maybe the tan lines from the top wouldn’t be fun, but you can swim in it, and then go play some volleyball after feeling just as comfortable.

Show: Luli Fama

Style: Pink and gold zig-zag-print bikini.

Why we love it: Elle Woods would totally buy this! It doesn’t get any more girly than this. It’s pink, it’s flirty, but at the same time it’s a simple bikini with regular triangle top and side-tie bottom. The cute part is that the fabric goes from pink to orange on the top and from fuchsia to pink at the bottom. The gold detailing just adds more flirtiness!

Show: Luli Fama

Style: Deep-v, one piece

Why we love it: Totally obsessed with the Tuscan marble-style blue print with coral detailing on the lower part of the one piece. It is totally contrasted in the upper part, which uses the same colors but the print varies. It looks like fine china on a swimsuit.
