Things To Do

Miami Science Museum hosts its final Laser Fest at its Brickell location

Fire the lasers! The fun kicks off with a free planetarium star show at 7 p.m. Friday and family laser shows at 8 each night, followed by hourly classic-rock laser shows (Pink Floyd, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix and Bob Marley at midnight Friday). Saturday brings The Beatles “Sgt. Pepper,” “Queen, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd: “Dark Side of the Moon” at midnight.

With the Museum’s current location set to close its doors soon and the new Museum’s $300 million state-of-the-art-facility on course to open in the summer of 2016 at Museum Park, this will be one of the last chances for locals to enjoy the historic Planetarium and its popular laser shows. Catch the Fabulous First Friday Programming with free rooftop observatory (8:30 -10 p.m. weather permitting). Hands-on activities and demonstrations for children will take place from 7:15 – 8:45 p.m.
