Big Night in Little Haiti featuring Akoustik Band
Friday, June 19, 6PM – 10PM – Little Haiti Cultural Center, 212 NE 59th Terr, Miami
The widely popular Acoustic band direct from Haiti performs live at this month’s Big Night in Little Haiti, which is held on the third Friday of every month. This month celebrates Caribbean Heritage Month and Fete de la Musique (Festival of Music) with an opening set by Tradition Lakou Lakay. Big Night in Little Haiti features culture, art, and live Haitian music to a very diverse crowd of Haitians and non-Haitians alike, and it’s always free. This event is a fun event for the entire family with art activities for kids, Haitian cuisine for sale, and the exhibition in the art gallery. The after party across the street from 10pm to midnight at the Caribbean Marketplace with the late night Moshka Roots live reggae party across the street at 7th Circuit Studios.
Spoken Revolution Christian Poetry Weekend
Friday, June 19, 6PM – 11PM – F.B.C. Church of Ft Lauderdale, 301 East Broward Blvd, Downtown Ft Lauderdale

The monthly SocialXChange event presents a networking and $20 open bar from 8pm – 10pm, with the party continuing from 10pm until 2am.
4th Annual Colors of the Caribbean
Saturday, June 20, 4PM – 11PM – Hollywood Arts Park, 1 North Young Circle, Downtown Hollywood
The Rhythm Foundation, Caribbean American Heritage Florida, and the Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency presents the annual Hollywood ArtsPark Experience celebrating Caribbean American Heritage Month with music and flavors of the islands, a Caribbean Travel Expo, a kids zone, Caribbean Food Village, and arts and crafts vendors. Featured performances in the amphitheater include: Kevin Lyttle, Inner Circle, reggae’s top selling “bad boys,” Trinidadian Soca Monarch Rikki Jai, young Antigan star Ricardo Dru, and local favorites. Free and open to the public.
Miami Life Pool Party

Big Laughs in Little Haiti featuring Comedian Godrey
Sunday, June 21, 7PM – 10PM – Little Haiti Performing Arts Center, 260 NE 59th Terr, Miami
The Little Haiti Cultural Complex presents a star-studded comedy show featuring comedian Godfrey and Miami comedians, Plus Pierre and Success Jr. Hosted by WSVN 7 sports anchor, Donovan Campbell, the show will provide comedic relief on Father’s day. Born to Nigerian parents, Godfrey’s off-the-wall humor has landed him roles in “Zoolander,” “30 Rock,” and “Louie” and also starred in his own one-hour Comedy Central special “Black By Accident.” General admission tickets are $25 and includes one cocktail and appetizers.
