Meet Forbes’ List Top Black Female Billionaire, Foloruso Alakija

A reception is being hosted to welcome Nigerian female billionaire, Folorunso Alakija, in her visit to South Florida. The VIP reception is from 6pm-7pm followed by the program from 7pm-9:30pm. Ms. Alakija recently surpassed Oprah Winfrey as the richest black women in the world with an estimated net worth of $3.2 billion and is one of only three black female billionaires. Her fortunes came from the Rose of Sharon House of Fashion, her business in the Nigerian fashion industry, as well as her role as Executive Vice Chairman in her family’s oil exploration and production business (FAMFA Oil Limited) and a real estate development company with investments in different parts of the world.
