Born in Colombia and raised between the Magic City and London, Osorio is touted for his modern designs with major sex appeal. Now based in Italy, we rub elbows with the coveted Creative Director on Miami, apps and more.
To what characteristic do you attribute the brand’s success? I hope it’s because women like my shoes! Most of our success has been due to word of mouth by women. When I created Aquazzura I wanted to do something different.

What is your personal design ethos? To create shoes that have a new elegance, not only for their beauty, but also in how comfortable they are. I create shoes for women to walk, to dance and to enjoy — not to suffer. I love women and I make my shoes so they look more beautiful.
You were born in Colombia and bred between Miami and London. What do you adore most about Miami? The weather, beach and the warmth of its people. I’ve always been in love with the sea and Miami is blessed with amazing beaches.
You are the reigning Footwear King. Who is your footwear designer hero? I really admire André Perugia as he was a shoe innovator far beyond his peers.
What mobile app do you use most often? Instagram.
What do you wish someone would invent? A cure for hunger.
What makes you laugh? My partner. What brings you the greatest joy? My family and my work.
