Jazz in the Gardens is celebrating it’s 10th year making music in Miami Gardens, so it’s pulling out all of the stops with today’s announcement of the final round of artists.
R&B icons Erykah Badu, Run DMC and Sheila E. will take the stage at the music festival at Sun Life Stadium. The three-day weekend festival on March 20 – 22, 2015 will also feature artists Maxwell, Toni Braxton, R. Kelly, Men of Soul’s Jeffrey Osborne, Peabo Bryson and Freddie Jackson, and Brian Culbertson. Comedians and nationally syndicated radio personalities D.L. Hughley and Rickey Smiley will co-host the festival.

Badu, who plays on Sunday, March 22, is an icon in the Neo-Soul genre and is best know for her hit “Tyrone”. She performed at the 2009 Jazz in the Gardens and has been consistently requested to come back and play on the JITG social media channels.
RUN DMC, who also plays on Sunday, March 22, is best known as the hip-hop act who partnered with rock legends Aerosmith for “Walk This Way. They were the first hip-hop group to have a gold record, be nominated for a Grammy, appear on MTV and grace the cover of Rolling Stone.
Sheila E. plays on Saturday, March 21, when you will probably hear “The Glamorous Life” among her other hits. The world class drummer and percussionist is a long time protege of pop-icon Prince and has shared the stage with Lionel Richie, Gloria Estefan, Beyoncé, Marvin Gaye, Herbie Hancock, Diana Ross and George Duke.
