Alonzo Mourning and the Mourning Family Foundation presents the first annual Zo’s Winter Groove, the sister event to Zo’s Summer Groove of years past. Zo’s Family Health & Wellness Groove

In recognition of Alonzo’s recent appointment to President Obama’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition, Zo’s Family Health & Wellness Groove invites families to converge on Miramar Regional Park for events such as a Foot Locker 5k run/walk, health screenings, fun zones, mini sports clinics (football and basketball) and fitness classes. The event is FREE, open to the public and will be full of activities built around supportive programming for families, including healthy living, arts, crafts, and an array of activities for kids of all ages.
5K Run/Walk

Meet Alonzo Mourning and run in this inaugural 5k with the entire family with a health fair with a wide variety of activities. Awards in multiple categories including top male and female overall and top three winners in various age groups. Entree fee: pre-registration $25; race day $35. Zo’s Comedy Groove

This exclusive comedy show is “Zo’s” invitation to join him in raising funds to continue the benevolence and charitable work of the Mourning Family Foundation. Hosted by Rodney Grant featuring comedians John “Honest John” Basinger, Karlous Miller, Robert Powell, and Ashima Franklin. VIP Reception: 6pm – 8pm; tickets $175 and includes food and open bar. Comedy Show: 8pm – 10pm; tickets $75 with a cash bar.
Zo’s Hall of Fame Golf Groove
Monday, December 29, 9AM – Turnberry Isle Resort, 19999 West Country Club Drive, Aventura
The tournament features over 80 golfers, Groove Golf Ambassadors, Hall of Famers, and tastemakers from sports, music, television, motion picture, and business, including Julius Erving (NBA Hall of Fame), Cornelius Bennett (NFL Pro Bowler) and Bruce Smith (NFL Pro Bowler). All will come together on the links to raise funds to directly impact the lives of young children and families in the greater Miami area. Registration: 7:30am; Tee time: 9am
