A food festival for vegetarians and vegans is taking over Wynwood
For the past four years, the Seed Food and Wine festival has brought together plant-based chefs, vegan athletes, winos, foodies and writers.
This year, the nation’s premier plant-based food and wine festival returns to Miami, offering five days of exhibitions and dining events ranging from a five-course celebrity chef dinner, to a 5K run, to a fashion show.
This year’s participating influencers include ultra-distance athlete Rich Roll, celebrity exercise physiologist Marco Borges, social media star Vegan Fat Kid, four-time NBA champion John Salley, and celebrity vegan chef Mary Mattern, to name a few.
Tonight, a Plant-Based Burger Battle will pit chefs from across the nation against one another in the ultimate patty slam.
Friday night, models will walk the runway wearing cruelty-free fashion as DJ Sasha spins live during Catwalk, a Night of Conscious Fashion.
The highlight is Saturday’s Seed Festival and Tasting Village presented by Whole Foods Market, where hundreds of vendors will show off their finest plant-based wares, cosmetics, drinks and food. Attendees can eat their way around the event.
Also on Saturday, foodies can head to Nautilus South Beach for Seed Food and Wine’s Made In Miami — The Legends Edition, an intimate five-course meal and craft cocktail pairing that will bring together chef Richard Fuentes of Nautilus Cabana Club, chef Todd Erickson of GLAM and Society, chef Giorgio Rapicavoli of Eating House and Glass and Vine, and Chef Nicole Votano of Charcoal.
