Art Basel is big, and what’s even bigger are the mega list of parties and social events happening the entire week, many of which you have to know some very important people to gain access. We’ve taken the guess work out and sifted through an exhausting list of events to curate this Art Basel event guide that we think you would be interested in.

In Part 1 of Miami Soul’s Ultimate Black Basel Guide, we’ve gathered all of the Black exhibits and art fairs to experience in addition to the slate of events around the black exhibits. Part 2 is all about the parties, and we’ve also included a few sources for other exclusive events for those who have the gift of working the door to get into invite only events.

Heineken House Live Art Pyramid at Scope Miami Beach

Serving as a focal point of SCOPE Art Show, the Heineken House is a multi-sensory experience of a massive structure that stands at over 35-feet tall and encompasses 12 massive live art walls to be painted over the course of six days at SCOPE Art Show. The Art of Transformation: Dance performance by Nora Chipaumire

Born in Zimbabwe, Chipaumire is an award-winning dancer and choreographer who uses her body to challenge stereotypes of Africa by confronting history and ideologies about the black performing body and its image. She is an Alpert Award in the Arts recipient and U.S. Artist Ford Fellow who has studied dance throughout Africa, Cuba, Jamaica, and the United States.
