Who can blend OutKast with orchestral music? Only Miami’s Nu Deco Ensemble.
After two years of incredibly successful shows at local treasures like The Light Box, The North Beach Bandshell, and even The Adrienne Arsht Center, Nu Deco Ensemble has truly left its mark on the city. Riding the buzz from a completely sold out second season with a lineup featuring the award-winning likes of Bilal, Kishi Bashi, and Monsieur Periné, and musical explorations of beloved artists including Prince, Kraftwerk, and Jamiroquai, their audiences have gone from fans to groupies.

Nu Deco Ensemble’s third season features internationally-acclaimed R&B singer-songwriter Emily King as their first special guest from Oct, 26-28, weaving in contemporary renditions of classical masters like Henry Mancini and electronic composer David Wohl, topped of with a vibrant tribute to the late, great David Bowie.
The season continuesat their home in Wynwood at The Light Box with a showcase of their Nu Works Competition and Sam Hyken’s second tribute to Daft Punk from Dec. 14-16. Kicking off 2018, Miami’s genre-bending orchestra will be back at The North Beach Bandshell on Jan. 25 with an exciting collection of Nu Deco’s signature repertoire and a special guest artist to be announced later this season.
Heading into February, their lineup shoots through the stratosphere with the first of two performances at The Adrienne Arsht Center on Feb. 15 featuring the multi-GRAMMY winning multi-instrumentalist and young prodigy, Jacob Collier with explorations of both Stevie Wonder and George & Ira Gershwin. They return to the performing arts center for a night of Queen and Stravinsky on March 29 followed by two nights at New World Center on April 20-21 with the return of Kishi Bashi for a world premiere of new works and a Depeche Mode suite.
The season then closes on May 17-19 at The Light Box with innovative renditions of contemporary classical pieces, special collaboration artist yet to be announced, and rounding off the season with a highly-anticipated OutKast suite.
