Faena’s free Second Sundays Roller Dancing Party is back!

If you’re looking for a creative way to shake off that post-Hurricane Irma malaise, Faena Art is bringing back their free Second Sundays roller dancing party at the Faena Forum (3300-3398 Collins Ave., 305-534-8800) on Sunday October 8 from Noon to 10 p.m.

The trippy, colorful rink is actually an immersive, site specific art installation by assume vivid astro focus (asaf) called ángeles veloces arcanos fugues. It re-imagines a roller dancing rink as an art experience for you to dance and skate around in. The day will include a line-up of DJs led by DJ Paperwater and a performance by performance artist duo TM Sisters. There will also be pop-up food stands by Wynwood Parlor and LovJuice.

You’ll even have the chance to take a roller dancing lesson at 4 p.m. with Miami Quad Squad.

The event is free and open to the public. Registration is recommended via Eventbrite. However, guests will be admitted on a first come, first served basis according to capacity.
