These South Florida malls are up and running. (AC, food courts and power outlets included)
Homes without air conditioning. No food to cook. Kids out of school. This aftermath of this hurricane has stressful, and that’s without having to worry about damage to your house or whether bills will get paid.
But that’s where malls come in. Sure, you may be able to squeeze in a little retail therapy, but really malls are a special kind of oases. They have the best AC. They have food. They have movie theaters and play stations for young children. And they have power outlets to charge your electronics.
You may have never wanted to go to the mall so bad in your life. Here are all the malls who have opened their doors:

If you didn’t notice, most of South Florida’s malls are open. Simon Malls are also serving as Red Cross drop-off sites, collecting supplies for Hurricane Irma victims. Some retailers are still closed, so it’s best to call in advance if you are looking to shop at a particular store.
