“Family Life” (Vida de familia) directed by Chilean filmmakers Cristián Jiménez and Alicia Scherson, opens July 21 at Miami Dade College’s Tower Theater. The film is about a man house-sitting for his cousin who falls for a neighbor and starts pretending he lives there.
The film was chosen as the 2017 Miami Knight Competition winner at the 34th annual festival by a Grand Jury: filmmaker Michel Franco, Dublin International Film Festival director Grainne Humphreys and Knight Foundation Arts Program Director Bahia Ramos.
The company’s U.S. distribution label Monument Releasing is releasing “Family Life” in theaters around the United States with the support of the $30,000 cash Miami Knight Competition Grand Prize.
The Tower Theater is at 1508 S.W. Eighth St. in Miami; tickets are $11.50 for general admission and $9 for seniors and students; $7 for Miami Dade College students.
