Snow in July – what could be better?

Well, OK, a few things. A winning lottery ticket. A guarantee of no hurricanes for the next 10 years. A Miami Dolphins Super Bowl appearance.

Still, snow sounds good. And the closest you’re going to get to it in Miami is during the amazing spectacle of “Slava’s Snowshow,” which returns to the Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House at the Adrienne Arsht Center starting July 12.

The internationally renowned show, which runs through Aug. 6, is the dynamic, visually arresting creation of Russian clown Slava Polunin, the original Cirque du Soleil clown who grew up between Moscow and the Black Sea and was understandably influenced by the amount of snow there.

The Arsht Center offers a couple of warnings about the show, which runs about 90 minutes: It involves strong, intense lighting at times and is not recommended for kids under 8 years old. Consider yourselves warned.
