Independence Day Celebration

The Miami Music Festival Symphony Orchestra performs a program of patriotic music including West Side Story by Bernstein, Hoe-Down and Saturday Night Waltz by Copland and 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky plus music from Star Wars. July 4 at 6 p.m., Shepard & Ruth K. Broad Performing Arts Center.

Miami Summer Chamber Works

MMF Orchestral Institute hosts a concert by student musicians who their own program and coach. July 7 at 7:30 p.m., Cor Jesu.





Concerto Winners Concert

Conductor Joel Smirnoff directs the winners of the Concerto Competition perform a classical music repertoire with the highlight of Tchaikovsky’s 5th Symphony. July 8 at 7:30 p.m., Shepard & Ruth K. Broad Performing Arts Center.

Faculty Chamber Music Concert

MMF Faculty and visiting artists in residence join together in this chamber music concert. July 9 at 7:30 p.m., Cor Jesu.

2. Music in Miami Three Sundays in July

The quintet of singers and musicians from Compositum Musicae Novae. Performing are flute/viola/bass player Federico Bonacossa, viola and mezzo soprano Juan Martin, flute and piano Susan Epstein, pianist Gabriel Garcia and flute and violin Jasmine Thompson. July 9 at 4 p.m. at Trinity Cathedral.
