Carnaval on the Mile

Las Olas Art Fair (part II)

Fort Lauderdale’s main drag is converted into an outdoor art gallery filling with the works of 300 local, regional and national artists over the weekend.

War Horse

Filled with stirring music, this play tells the story of a brave and loyal horse named Joey who is separated from his beloved owner Albert during World War I. At the heart of the imaginitive drama are astonishing life-sized puppets created by South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company that bring to life breathing, galloping, charging horses strong enough for men to ride.

Winter Party Festival

What started 20 years ago as a one-time dance party in South Beach has evolved into a six-day festival with dozens of events, parties, cocktails, pool parties and more all to benefit the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and local Miami nonprofit organizations that serve the LGBT community.

WGC Cadillac Championship

The top golfers like Tiger Woods, Steve Stricker and others face off at the Blue Monster course at the Doral Golf Resort as part of the PGA tour. The event also includes a fashion show by Carolina Herrera hosted by Ivanka Trump and a live performance by Travie McCoy.

Feast with the Beasts

Miami’s party animals will be herded together at Zoo Miami for this event that celebrates wildlife and tantalizes palates with dishes created by some of South Florida’s top chefs.  The event, which also features cocktails and live entertainment, will help support the Zoological Society of Florida’s wildlife education and conservation programs on behalf of Zoo Miami. 

Miami International Film Festival

The annual film festival brings an international program of films from established and emerging filmmakers to various venues throughout Miami. The event features screenings, Q & A’s with filmmakers, an opening night gala and awards ceremony. Celebrities slated to appear this year include Mike Myers, Shirley MacLaine, Christopher Plummer, John Turturro, Andy Garcia and Gloria and Emilio Estefan.

Calle Ocho

Miami shows the world how we party at this annual street festival held on Little Havana’s historic Calle Ocho, which is blocked off from 11th-27th Avenues, filling the street with stages, international food vendors and entertainment for one million people to dance, eat and celebrate Hispanic traditions. On this year’s performance roster are Venezuelan duo Chino y Nacho, bachata songstress Leslie Grace and Puerto Rican reggaetonero Daddy Yankee.

Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition

Ferris wheels, giant slides, merry-go-rounds and more await you at the annual Fair which attracts more than half a million visitors each year. The event includes live entertainment, state-of-the-art rides, skill games, outrageous fair foods and livestock/agricultural competitions plus a student art exhibition. This year’s entertainment line-up includes concerts by salsa stars Willy Chirino, Albita and a freestyle blowout plus the Royal Hanneford Circus, pig races, magic shows and daredevils performing death-defying acts.

Jazz In the Gardens

Comedian D.L. Hughley hosts this festival featuring some of the hottest acts in jazz and R&B. This year will feature bass virtuoso Stanley Clarke, R & B star (and Academy Award-winning actor) Jamie Foxx, rap veteran LL Cool J, singer Anthony Hamilton, plus Trey Songz, Mint Condition, Kelly Rowland, Boney James and Maze featuring Frankie Beverly.

Rotary Key Biscayne Art Festival

Sony Open Tennis Tournament

And of course, there will be a crawfish boil and other traditional dishes from The Big Easy.

Vintage Auto Show

Car enthusiasts of all ages can enjoy a variety of vintage cars from 1952 and older including the 1950 International Harvester truck, which was purchased brand new in Chicago by Marion Deering McCormick, Charles Deering’s daughter. There will also be guided tours of the historic houses, lawn games, a scavenger hunt for the children and other family fun.

Ultra Music Festival

The Ultra Music Festival rolls back into Miami for a 16th year with a lineup of superstar DJ headliners like Tiesto, David Guetta, Kaskade, Afrojack, Avicii, Diplo, Hardwell, Steve Angello, Above & Beyond, Nicky Romero, Krewella, Luciano, Alesso, Loco Dice, Marco Carola and Zedd, among others. British techno king Carl Cox will once again man his own tent and live performers this year will include Cut/Copy, MGMT, Basement, M.I.A. and many others.
