For the second year in a row, the InterContinental hotel (100 Chopin Plaza, Downtown; 305-577-1000) in downtown Miami is hosting a Holidays on Ice ice skating rink with the addition of a Holiday Village featuring food, holiday-themed cocktails, outdoor fire pits, and do-it-yourself s’mores.

Located in Bayfront Park near the hotel, the rink and village are open Monday through Friday 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. through January 8.

Starting at 8 p.m., the rink transforms into a late night skate party with live DJs spinning on the ice. At that time, skaters must be 18 years and older.

Thursday nights call for happy hour from 6 to 8 p.m. with specially priced beers, wines, cocktails and food in the Holiday Village.

Tickets cost $15 per hour for adults and $12 for children, inclusive of skate rentals.

A portion of the proceeds collected from ticket sales at the ice rink will benefit Neighbors 4 Neighbors’ Adopt a Family for the Holidays Program.
