Miami New Drama, a new theater company under the direction of Moises Kaufman and Michael Hausman, presents ‘The Golem of Havana,’ the critically acclaimed musical with music by Salomon Lerner and lyrics by Len Schiff, at Miami Beach’s Colony Theatre, 1040 Lincoln Rd., Miami Beach. The story follows a Hungarian-Jewish family living in Batista’s Havana on the brink of the Cuban Revolution. When their maid’s son (played by Ronald Alexander Peet, pictured), a guerrilla fighter, is injured, they must choose between protecting him and guarding their first fragile grasp on prosperity since their arrival.
