What can we say? We’re suckers for fluffy terry cloth robes, eucalyptus steam rooms and a solid rubdown. We love spas boasting posh relaxation lounges replete with marshmallow-y couches, warm nuts, cozy teas and our fave glossies, too. Yes, we’re self professed spa junkies. So when in Miami, here are the best spots for when you’re feeling knotty by nature — or just want to escape that city life.
1. W Miami
The jaw-dropping Philippe Starck designed interiors here alone are a treat for the senses. The Spa at The W Miami in Downtown is a virtual wonderland boasting one of Miami’s top Instagrammed sensations — a massive yellow chandelier to rival the size of a Ford Bronco. Personally, we’re obsessed with the 5,000-square-foot water lounge with a floating library, a reflecting pond, hot and cold plunge pools and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Key Biscayne. Over-the-top aesthetics aside, the treatments here are superb as well. Book the HydraFacial (50 minutes for $180) and score that J. Lo glow. The W, 485 Brickell Ave., Downtown; (305) 503-0369.

2. Lapis at the Fontainebleau
We’ve got to words for you: Hydrotherapy heaven. Brimming with numerous mineral pools, massage-jet showers and Eucalyptus steam baths, Lapis is utter indulgence at its best. Order up the Weekend Warrior’s Rehab Swedish massage (50 minutes for $165) and ease those muscle pains. Fontainebleau Miami Beach, 4441 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; (305) 674-4772.
3. The Standard Spa Miami Beach
An adult playground of sorts (think clothing optional mud baths, steamy Turkish hammam and cozy fire pit), The Standard Spa is also a holistic haven. Fancy a facelift minus the incisions, sutures and tons of downtime? Allow us to introduce you to the Repairer Energy facial, which improves the skin’s texture and tone (60 minutes for $180). The Standard Spa, Miami Beach, 40 Island Avenue, Miami Beach (305) 704-3945.
4. Biltmore Spa
Nestled inside the crown jewel of tony Coral Gables, The Biltmore Hotel, this spa exudes an opulent vibe wrapped in a timeless package. For those of you feeling zapped of energy, try Reiki — a Japanese healing treatment which promotes stress reduction and relaxation through hands-on healing (50 minutes for approx. $150). Biltmore Spa, 1200 Anastasia Avenue, Coral Gables; (305) 913-3187.
5. Spa at Eden Roc Miami Beach
Channeling the swanky Hamptons, this spa happens to be the home to our favorite relaxation lounge — imagine a sun-filled space boasting a burning fireplace, living flower arrangements, French wingback chairs and chaise lounges. Give in to the Glow body scrub treatment (25 minutes for $85) which leaves skin kissably smoothe. Spa Eden Roc Miami Beach, 4525 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; (305) 674-5585.
6. The Spa at the Mandarin Oriental
This one’s a Miami spa junkie mainstay. Influenced by the ancient traditions of Chinese, Ayurvedic, European, Balinese and Thai cultures, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental never disappoints. Wrapped in warm woods and blue hues, delight in the Thai Massage (90 minutes for $295) as your kinks are worked out atop an Asian mat. The Spa at the Mandarin Oriental, 500 Brickell Key Drive, Miami; (305) 913-8332.
