Things To Do

Art Basel is just around the corner. Here’s the best way to get tickets.

The crowds are coming to Miami Beach.
The crowds are coming to Miami Beach.

We know it’s hard to believe, but Art Basel Miami is almost here. You know, that wonderful time of year that brings art, tourists and soul-crushing traffic to our quiet little hometown.

The international art extravaganza arrives a little bit later this year – not the first weekend of December this year but the second. Art Basel runs Dec. 6-9 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, 1901 Convention Center Dr., Miami Beach.

You can buy tickets in advance or onsite, if you need flexibility or absolutely lack the ability to plan. But being wishy washy will cost you. Tickets are $50 for a day pass if purchased online but $60 if purchased onsite.

A “permanent” ticket valid all four days is $130 if purchased online, $140 if purchased on site. Make the commitment and save $10.

If you’re fancy, there are premium ticket options. If you’re a student or a senior, you can get a $10 break on your day pass. There are also group rates available.

You can buy tickets online here.

Art Basel hours are as follows:

3- 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6

Noon-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7

Noon- 8 p.m.  Saturday, Dec. 8
